Producer / Recorder / Music-maker

I'm a producer, recording engineer, songwriter, and session musician in Pasadena, CA. I love making records of all kinds and I've had the pleasure of working with a huge roster of artists, including: Jamie xx, Dirty Projectors, Alex Cameron, John Vanderslice, The Mountain Goats, Shannon and the Clams, Geographer, Strand of Oaks, Samantha Crain, Sophie Hunger, Meernaa, and many many more. 

 

In January of 2022, I opened Altamira Sound, a two room recording facility in a 3800sf warehouse in Alhambra, along with my partners Rob Shelton, Carly Bond, and Andrew Maguire. I have a background in jazz, having studied  performance and composition under Mark Dresser and Marty Ehrlich, and a deep love for technical production. For more than a decade, I was a staff engineer at Tiny Telephone Studios in the Bay Area, where I produced hundreds of records. I play a bunch of instruments, and I write string and woodwind arrangements. I'm constantly adding to my own collection of microphones, synthesizers, drum machines, and other wonderful tools and instruments.
